A useful hypnosis script gives you a route through the session without forcing every client into the same words. Start with the outcome you and the client have agreed on, then decide how the session should move from introduction to closing. The script is a working draft for your professional judgement, not a substitute for it.
Start with one clear goal
Write down what this session is meant to support in language you can recognise when reviewing the draft. “More settled at bedtime” gives you a clearer writing direction than “feel better.” Include any wording the client uses for that goal and any language you know to avoid. You can also choose whether the script is for a live session, a recording, self-hypnosis or a written exercise.
Set the length before the wording
A five-minute exercise needs a different pace from a thirty-minute session. Select the duration first so the induction, deepener, core work and closing have room to fit. OneClickScripts lets you choose common lengths from five to thirty minutes, or specify a custom length up to sixty minutes.
Build the session flow
A familiar outline might include a brief pre-talk, induction, deepener, therapeutic work, future pacing and an awakener. Those sections are choices, not requirements for every session. For a short recording, you may want a simpler flow. For a live session, you may need room to respond to the client in the moment.
Choose the induction and deepener that suit your approach and delivery. The wizard includes options such as breathing, progressive relaxation, conversational induction, staircase, countdown and no separate deepener. A saved setup can keep your preferred structure ready for another session without carrying over a client’s personal details.
Review for the person in front of you
Read the draft aloud. Check that the language sounds like you, the transitions make sense, and the ending suits the intended use. Edit any section directly. If you need to return to an earlier draft, the script history keeps previous versions. Export the reviewed version as a PDF or Word document when it is ready.
